Many of you have probably seen this floating around the Internet in the last few days, but I felt the need to post it here and show it again.

With the way techonology’s been advancing the last few years, people have turned away from some of the more traditional forms of advertising – billboards, radio etc.

Audi and BMW in Santa Monica took it up a notch in this butting of heads  on neighboring billboards. Brilliant.

how bout the power of stellar creative to go far beyond the cost of the original media buy.

This is a great – simple – lesson in how the power of ‘old media’ still has a part to play in brand strategy. We get so obsessed with what we are all doing online, we must never neglect the offline stuff. It’s also a good example of how a picture tells a story, hence its stickability online…

Did they work together on these, or did one put theirs up after the other?

Either way this is great and if they did work together this is even more ingenious.
