My name is Piotr Jakubowski. I am Polish, born and raised in Indonesia, and currently living in the United States. Although I don’t really know where home is, I do know one thing – I love marketing and advertising.
Approximately 22 summers ago I was born in a hospital under construction in Jakarta, Indonesia. I had the privilege of growing up as a Third Culture Kid (TCK) in Indonesia, and attending Drake University in the United States. In this short time I’ve had the pleasure of visiting and immersing myself in a variety of cultures, most notably a 6 month study in Tokyo, Japan.
In my four years of college I had the chance to work in account management at McCann-Erickson Indonesia, research at RL Polk Japan and account management at Saatchi & Saatchi in New York. In the middle of all this I worked on another one of my passions, photography, and spent my spare time shooting weddings for a studio in Iowa.
I’m currently based out of Chicago, working at a media and marketing network that is centered around the financial industry. I satiate my need for marketing knowledge through my blog, research, reading and just trying to follow trends in both technology and pop culture.
